The objective of the Continuing Competence program is to ensure public protection by promoting the provision of quality occupational therapy services in Alberta. The program requires all occupational therapists to develop and maintain individual continuing competence plans and aims to review the practice of each occupational therapist practicing in Alberta approximately every five years.
