application process for IEOT applicants

Once an internationally-educated occupational therapist (IEOT) applicant submits all required documents and is approved to proceed with registration, the applicant will be registered on the Provisional Register.

An occupational therapist on the Provisional Register may practice only under the supervision of a regulated member registered on the General Register. After eight weeks of full-time practice or equivalent, the supervising occupational therapist will be required to submit an evaluation to the College. Once this evaluation is complete, the applicant will remain on the Provisional Register until successful completion of the national certification exam and completion of any coursework or training requirements that may be identified during the supervised practice.

Registration on the Provisional Register may be valid for up to one year.
