internationally-educated occupational therapists

The internationally educated occupational therapist (IEOT) applicant is a new applicant to the Canadian health profession. IEOT applicants are initially assessed on the basis of substantial equivalence through a documentation review completed by the College. Applicants successful in the documentation review are registered on the Provisional Register.

A supervised practicum is mandatory and, once the competency assessment is complete, the applicant will remain on the Provisional Register until successful completion of the national certification exam and any coursework or training requirements that may have been identified during the competency assessment.
