Where do occupational therapists work?

About 70% of occupational therapists in Alberta work in either long term care, acute care, or geriatrics settings or in general or rehabilitative hospitals. You will also find occupational therapists in children services and pediatric settings, in schools, in mental health facilities, in community care and home care settings, and industrial settings.

Occupational therapy clinicians are supported by evidence developed by occupational therapy researchers, services managed by occupational therapy managers, and training from professional educators in occupational therapy.
